A first for Discovery T&L

Like most people I love Discovery and Nat Geo, particularly anything to do with travel.

This week while I was channel surfing came across this show called Hairy Bikers on Disc T&L. It's the first time that I felt that a show on the channel was really not up to the mark. The show has two big burly men who traverse countries on bikes and as they go along they sample local cuisine and even cook some stuff for you.
The episode I watched was based on Madras... I had to watch it as that's my home town.

Apart from the fact that the two are not really funny, they come across more wannabish. At Mahabalipuram, they were demonstrating a recipe for aloo paratha. Yes, you read that right, good old North Indian aloo paronthas in numba Madras. Hmm... I wonder who did the research for this show.

To top it all they garnished it with fried curry leaves and ate it with sambar and chutney! Need I say more?

I haven't seen this one. but most bike shows on these two channels are awesome, mostly those with chopper makers.
